Online surgery price shopping marketplace, announced today that it has selected Higowell as its care coordination and patient movement software platform. 

Designed by international medical travel expert, Maria Todd and experts from the IT and travel sector, Higowell offers a front-end, patient-friendly self-registration portal combined with a robust back-end platform to manage price quotes, records exchanges, medical appointments, case management caregiver interviews and conferences, travel and accommodation details, outcomes and satisfaction measurement, implant registry and more.

Higowell released in 2018, has nearly 500 registered users and filed its patent registration with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in May, 2019. Each participating provider of surgical and ancillary services (hospital, ASC, accommodation partners, ground support, home / hotel nursing services, physical therapy, certified medical translators and others) will be able to connect seamlessly to exchange secure communications, price quotes, store executed contracts and exchange case rate pricing updates. Both Mercury Health Travel and Medical Tourism Journeys care coordinators were early beta users prior to their respective acquisition by’s participating providers and ancillary services partners can take advantage of a provider or ancillary services account at no cost to the provider. Higowell enables them to reach out to new case managers and medical travel referral and marketing agents who are interested in finding providers to whom they can refer their clients for surgery from across the USA, Canada and countries outside North America at transparent, bundled surgery prices. has suspended most operations due to COVID19 travel restrictions and our participating health facilities' limitations to accommodate all but essential and urgent cases. We'll resume service based on our re-assessment scheduled for May 1, 2020.

In this ‘time out” period, we’ll be doing some website overhaul, and working on adding new provider listings, and other “rainy day” tasks that can be accomplished by team members working from home.

TIP: If you know you need to plan an elective surgery or shop prices, get started ASAP. Once hospitals and outpatient surgery centers resume normal operations and replenish supplies in high demand, elective scheduled surgery will be overwhelmed.
